15 Day Challenge: Day 9

Life of Love

[Day 9]: Tell us the best day of your life to date.

This is kinda hard- I'm coming down off of a birthday week/stay-cation high- so this past week was pretty fantastic. I don't have kids and I'm not married- so I don't have an obvious "best day" to talk about...

I will use the past week and pick the best day of those- which is also super hard...
But the best day of all was probably Friday... (Check out each day here)

We (my BFF/Roomie and Birthday Twin) woke up when our eyes told us to and got ready for the beach. We laid in the sand and soaked up the sun and just laughed with each other.
After that, we headed home and got ready for our Double Karaoke Birthday Celebration at a local Mexican restaurant. The food was delish- still no alcohol for this girl- the company was fabulous and then the Karaoke began. I forgot how fun it was! We stayed until we closed it down. Ended by some Wobbling and Cupid Shuffle then this girl didn't STOP dancing! (I LOVE to dance!)

It was one of the best nights I've had in a while!!

Phone Photo Fun (Birthday Weekend Recap)

Are you ready for a photo overload? This is just on the iPhone also!! I have tons more on my camera- but getting the computer fixed to upload those!! (It may be time for a new computer)

This week was 4th of July and my BIRTHDAY! (Hello 28) Put those together with a few days off and you have one fantastic stay-cation!!
Let's break it down by days, shall we?!

Tuesday, July 3- after work, stay-cation began!
I went to a Red, White and Blue Party at Mad River with a few friends- I was brave enough to wear the outfit!! It was fun- but not a fan of the DJ that night- too much techno for this gal!!
Wednesday, July 4th- Happy Birthday America!!
We started our day on the beach!! Where else should you spend the 4th? It was a fabulous day!!
I found my first sand dollar in the water- after being taught how...
Then we all go the hang of it!! And found quite a few!! Even a few conk shells too!!
I was very excited!!
After the beach we came home and changed for some yummy food and fireworks!
It was a blast!!

Camera phone+Fireworks= not good quality pics! But it was still fun!!

Thursday, July 5th- Family Fun Day
My family loves the water park!! So we loaded up and all went!
This little guy steals our hearts!!

Some Snuggles mid-day!!

After we got all clean and went looking for Mimi's Wedding Dress! AHHH I can't believe my baby cousin is getting married! She looked BEAUTIFUL!!! I won't post that picture- but I did have some fun playing with veils!!

After Wedding Dress shopping, my mom planned for us all to go to dinner for my birthday- so sweet! They brought me a yummy dessert- which my family loved! :-D

After dinner I headed downtown for a "VIP" party at Mad River that I won (along with several others) and I drank for free- AKA gave my drinks away and my "guests" drank for 2 dollars. Either way it was more dancing and fun for this girl!!

Friday, July 6th- Beach and Karaoke
The ladies spent the day on the beach before coming home to a great present from my landlord...
A NEW FRIDGE!!

I can't tell you how excited I am to have a fridge that works!! We have been battling our old one going out on us once a month for the past few months! YAY for new appliances!!

Karaoke's not dead! It's alive and kickin when you get my friends together! We had the BEST time! I can't wait to upload the pics from my camera!!

Saturday, July 7th- BIRTHDAY!!!
Another fun day added to the list!!
We started early and headed to the beach!
It was lovely!!

Then we got all dolled up and went to dinner at Mellow Mushroom with my Birthday Twin's family!

My Birthday Twin and Me:

Love us!!

Sunday, July 8th- Movies and Pedis and Movies- oh my!
For my bday- Emily got me Channing Tatum!! Allison, Elizabeth, Emily and I went to see "Magic Mike" hello gorgeous!! He was delish! After, E, Em and I got some pedi's- I need someone to massage my legs and feet weekly!!
After I grabbed a few weekly groceries- I headed to Amy's house for a pot-luck bday celebration with the ladies!! They were so sweet to host that for me!! I love watching "Pretty In Pink" for the first time- ever!!

It was the best week/weekend I have had in MONTHS!! I couldn't have asked for better!!

**Side note- Amazing how much can change in a year!!**

15 Day Challenge- Day 8

Life of Love

Happy Sunday friends!! What a wonderful weekend and birthday I had!! I can wait to share with you all!! Before I do, let's keep going on the 15 Day Challenge!! [Day 8]: Describe the good, the bad, and the ugly about yourself.  The Good- I have a huge heart and love with it fully! I wear my heart on my sleeve which makes me very sensitive to others. I am an optomist and love making those around me happy!!

The Bad- All of the above can have a bad side- I can easily get hurt because I fall hard and love quick. I allow myself to get taken advantage of because of that heart on my sleeve.

The Ugly- I can have a BAD temper! I also can get ver angry, very fast! It's a tough think to handle! Also- see me without make-up and in the morning- that's the uglist! OUCH! :-P

15 Day Challenge- Day 7 and it's my BIRTHDAY!!

Life of Love

Wow! What a wonderful stay-cation I've been having!! Today is my birthday and the fun is just going to continue!! I can't wipe the smile off my face!! [Day 7]: Recommend a book for us to read. Why is it important/special to you? I have several books I LOVE!!

1) Let's start with the obvious: The Bible! It's pretty much the best out there! You don't even have to read it cover to cover! You can skip around!!

2) Twilight! I love me some Twilight books- I have read them twice! And will probably read again before the final movie comes out in NOVEMBER!!

3) 50 Shades of Grey! WOW! WOW! HOLY WOW! Them books are A-MA-ZING!! Underneath the sex and "red room of pain" is a really great love story!! I will be reading them again!!

15 Day Challenge- Day 6

Life of Love

[Day 6]: What's something you've always wanted to do but haven't? Why not?

I try to live my life to the fullest and try new things- so that when asked this question I have to struggle- but there are some things I would still love to do, but haven't yet.

1) Bungee Jump- I think it would be such a rush- but I am so terrified the cord will break!!

2) Skydive- Same rush- but I doubt my parachute would open!!

3) Cruise It Up- I am dying to go on a cruise! The only reason I haven't- that $$ thing! (anyone like to take me?!?!)

15 Day Challenge- Day 5

Life of Love
Morning Friends! I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th!! Mine was wonderful!! Couldn't and wouldn't ask for anything different!! :-)
Back to the challenge...
[Day 5]: If you could have dinner with any five people, who would they be?

OK- time to get sappy!! If I could have dinner with any 5 people- these are my choices (and why)

1) My Grandmother (my mom's mom)- I've never met her- she died in '77 before I was born and I've always dreamed of meeting her!!

2) My Papa- I adored him and miss him so! I didn't get to see him the one day he was awake and though I was there when he passed, I'd still love to see him again. And to see him with my grandmother, the way he would probably just adore her would be beautiful!!

3) My Aunt Lee- I didn't get to say goodbye to her- to this day it still kills me! I remember I spoke to her on Monday, and we were going to visit her on Wednesday and Tuesday we got the call... I know she knew I loved her, but it still hurts me heart when I think about it! (She's who I'm running for and raising money for on the left!! I got a ways to go!!)

4) My "Brothers"- Don't laugh, this is my imaginary dinner. My mom had two miscarriages before she had me. They were never past the first trimester, so she never knew the sex- but being an only child, I ALWAYS wanted an older brother! So in 6th grade- I have no idea why- I just felt like those two children she lost were boys. And I have always had a peace in knowing I have two older brothers looking out for me!!

5) My "Ma-Ma"- She was my dad's grandmother- my great grandmother. My dad went through pure hell growing up, a father who didn't want him, a mother who couldn't mentally care for him and so he was left to be raised by his grandmother (him and his brothers). I've always wanted to thank her for caring for him when others didn't.

15 Day Challenge- Day 4

Life of Love

Day 4]: What's your favorite childhood memory? My favorite childhood memory- that's really tough!! I have several! But the most precious one to me is one so simple, but so engraved in my head that I can remember it in every detail. (Maybe because it happened so often)

My mom use to wear these skirt and shirt combo's for work. Always with a slip and pantyhose. She would come home from work, take off the skirt to not wrinkle it and sit for a few on the couch in her slip and shirt. I would always come sit right by her (or more often lay my head on her legs for her to rub my back) and we would watch the news, talk about nothing and just have that time together.

Now if you ask her- because I have- she barely remembers this. She remembers trying to get everything done, me washed and homework done, dinner cooked, me in the bed- but doesn't realize she did something that had such an impact on me. It's one of my fondest memories!!

*posting this from the iPhone- as I head to the beach! I hope it comes out ok! Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe 4th!*

Hello, Again!!

Hey there lovelies! Miss me? HA! JK!! I did miss writing and venting and getting feelings out, hence the reason I'm back. I've ha...
