Weekend Phone Photos

Fun Fun Fun! If you know me- you know I'm always snapping pics of what I'm doing on the weekend on my phone! What a fun way to share and link them up at:

~Friday night was a chill night at home with the pups as we watched our boys make it to the Championship!

~ Someone's moms out of town and I had to send a pic of the big baby!! He was starving for some attention! (He gets plenty trust me!)

~ Saturday started strong with a nice workout at the gym! (I love Kally's always in the mirror with me)

~ Next stop was a trip to the pool with Emily- this position didn't last long- we quickly headed to the water to float and cool off!!

~ Saturday night was dinner at Suede Supper Club in Mt. P... where it turned into their Neon party! Fun! I loved the glow my camera made this picture!
~ They passed out glow bracelets and glow wands and hats!!
~ I have said I hated the 80s throwback look, but I had to say, I was digging it that night. Made me wanna go shopping!

~ Sunday I ended up right back in the pool!! It was so peaceful and relaxing! Looking forward to doing it again next weekend with my fabulous family in tow! :-)
~ No pictures from Sunday evening- maybe b/c I was pouting too bad- we lost game 1 of the Championship- but we're gonna come back strong tonight! I know it! :-)

*I'm also hosting a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings tonight for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!! If you're in Charleston- come out to the Tanger BWW- 15% of sales go to the Team!!*

**You can learn more from the widget on the left about why we're running and how to donate!!**

Friday Letters

What a funner more fun way to end the weeklink with Ashley today for Friday Letters...
Photobucket

Dear Work Week- You have taken way to long! I'm not sorry to see you go!!

Dear Weekend- Even though you tease me with just two days of fun every seven, I still adore you and will always take you back when you leave me each Monday!!

Dear Kally- I love you pup! Really, I do!! But if you don't stop hogging the bed I'm gonna lock you out of the room and treat you like the DOG THAT YOU ARE!! *kisses*

Dear Julio- Let's have a talk again about acceptable places to potty... mkay?!

Dear Graham- Your mommy's gone this weekend- don't be asking to get in the bed, on the couch or have people food!! (You know Aunt Stacy lets you have those things anyway)

Dear E- Please have fun and be safe! I will miss my roomie this weekend! I was getting rather accustomed to our weekly beach trips!!

Dear Mom- I'm so proud of you! You are taking back control of your sugar, diabetes and life! I know it's not easy, but the best things never are. What would be the reward in that?

Dear Vacation- I can see you!! You are so close and I can't wait for your arrival!!

Dear Birthday- You are a mere 2 weeks away! Whatever am I going to do with being 28?! Oh yes- ANYTHING I WANT!!!

Dear Debit Card- I'm sorry I hurt you yesterday. I will really try not to use you so much this weekend. If it helps tho, the dresses and bathing suits you helped me purchase are adorable!!

Dear Summer Tan- I adore you! You and I can stay friends long after summer's over!!

Dear New Running Shoes- Thanks for making my run better! My hips appreciate it too!!

**Go ahead and link up too!!**

Black and White make Gray!

Recently I've been having some thoughts and discussions on the "gray areas" of the Bible and Faith. This is something I have spoken with to my Bible study group, as well as the BFF, Elizabeth (even as recent as 545 this morning before I headed to work- nothing like waking up to a philosophical discussion!!).

Last night I brought up the statement that there are gray areas in the Bible- pause, gasp, blink- yes, there are! ***Now- before I go ANY further- let me just say- this is my opinion- yours may be the same or yours may be completely opposite- THAT'S OK! My favorite saying and one I've been using more recently is "we can agree to disagree!" That's the beauty of this "melting pot" of life and the beauty of my faith in that I can accept you for your beliefs and not judge you for them.***
Back to those gray (and can I throw out I googled is it grey/gray-lol) areas!!
There are those areas that are without a doubt- 10 Commandments, Love Thy Neighbor, you know- the big ones!! But then comes in the gray- drinking, dancing, money, entertainment and many more.
Each of these are open to your own opinion!
Drinking- Jesus turned water into wine, but the Bible speaks against drunkenness.
Dancing- David danced in praise for the Lord, but we are not suppose to promote sexuality with our bodies.
Money- money itself is not evil, but the love of money is.
Entertainment- what you may chose to read/watch listen to may be different from mine, but does it make it any more wrong/right?

I could go on and on about the things that the Bible leaves up to interpretation- because God gave us the free will and knowledge to make our own decisions, choices, and even sometimes mistakes.

Some gray areas I deal with:
Homosexuality: is it a sin? yes! can someone still love the Lord and be a practicing gay? yes
Abortion: is it a sin? yes! can someone have an abortion and still go on to have a relationship with God? yes
Premarital sex: is it a sin? yes! does having premarital sex mean the Lord will love me any less? no!

Since when does one sin outweigh another? In the court system we see the varying degrees of crime and punishment (even if we don't agree)- but the Lord says all sins are equal.

The biggest gray area I see in the Bible is the most beautiful part of the Bible!
God can speak to us through the scripture and speak to us how He see fit to. You and I can both read a passage and I get that we are called to one thing and you are called to the other! That's what makes the relationship so special and beautiful! God is powerful enough to speak to us each the same way, but give a different message.

So What Wednesday!

Hey All! Miss me? I know you did... HA! Took a little blogging hiatus b/c my computer charger decided to die a slow and painful death. SOO I had to use the old college Dell and that wasn't cutting it! Thanks to eBay for the new charger- I'm back up and running!
Linking up again with Shannon for a So What Wednesday... making it again my own version of:

  • So what if not as many ppl came out as I would've hoped for... I'm loving those that supported the "Party for a Purpose" at Mad River and that we made $145 towards goal!! YAY!!**Love these two awesome ladies!!
      **Sweet Christina! Love you doll!

2 years

June 7, 2010... I remember everything about this day... I remember waking up to be at the hospital at 6 am... I remember being in the waiting room alone and talking to the doctor about what had and what needed to happen... I remember seeing my mom and aunts and cousins and having to tell them what he told me. I remember going into the room and not seeing the man that I loved so very dearly, but someone who looked in pain and ready to go home. I remember the kind nurses and their devotion to the job, my Papa and my family. I remember the sounds of machines being turned off, the sounds of final breathes taken, tears shed, goodbyes said and the feeling of a piece of our hearts gone forever. I remember pain, anger, hurt... but I also remember peace. Peace in knowing my Papa was with his beloved- the one woman who completed him. Peace in knowing he would never need another shot, another pill or never feel an ounce of pain. Peace in knowing he had gone home to be with his Heavenly Father.

My Papa wasn't perfect and I'm not going to portray him to be- but he was a hero to me! He and I were very close and I loved him dearly. I love the memories of watching USA on his couch with him, of playing with his dogs and thinking "do they ever stop barking", of him picking me up from school and thinking "please Papa hit the break a little sooner"!! I remember how he loved the artwork of my tattoo- even tho mom was sure he'd hate it; him joking with my dad about me being "a little smart-ass" and just looking over at me and smiling; and I remember his pride when he found out I was supporting the Navy! He was so proud of a few little stickers on my car that allowed me to go onto base, but made sure I knew to stay away from those Navy Nukes!!

It's been two years today and while, my heart still hurts that he's gone- it smiles because of the memories I have of him. Knowing that without the sacrifices he made for my mom and aunts, even in just having them- we wouldn't even be here! I thank God for my Papa- Stewart James Ronaldson- and hope that He would give him a hug from his granddaughter today and tell him I love him so!
He was so very handsome!!

I love how he just looks on my grandmother with such love! (They're holding my mommy btw)
Papa holding me in the hospital!!
So many memories of Thanksgivings and Christmas's at our house!!

Thank you for being so proud of me! I remember he and Vicki were so excited about my graduation card this day! It was adorable!!
Love that my mom got this special trip with him!! I know he loved it as much as she did!!

Y'all wonder where my Gamecock blood comes from?!
 He loved his girls!!

They were always an event to get the yearly pics on Thanksgiving- but I'm glad we have them now!!

With all his grands!!

I've posted this poem every year and will continue to...

If roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Papa's arms
and tell him they’re from me.
Tell him that I love him and miss him,
and when he turns to smile,
place a kiss upon his cheek
and hold him for awhile.
Because remembering him is easy,
I do it everyday,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.

Dear Papa,
I miss you every day- but I know you are looking down on all of us and are smiling!!
Moma, Aunt Sheree and Aunt Shelley are such wonderful mothers- you did good and would be proud! They learned from you and grandmoma!! I know you both look on them with pride!
Annie, Jessica, Brandon, Amy and I are all grandchildren you would brag about! Two more weddings coming up soon, but you'll be there in our hearts!
Hannah and Wyatt are the light of all of our lives! You would eat both their personalities up- they are such precious children and have stolen all of our hearts!!
Thank you for looking out for all of us!
I love you and miss you so!!
All my love,
~Stacy~

So What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I couldn't decide if I wanted to do a

"So What Wednesday"
or a
"What I'm Loving Wednesday"

So I decided to combine the two!!
  • So what if I dropped a pretty penny... I'm loving that I'm registered for my first half-marathon!!
I'll see you in Savannah on November 3!! So excited!!
  • So what if I lost bad and was the first one out... I'm loving I got to see my bud of almost 24 years for some Texas Hold Em! Love you Judson!!
  • So what if it's been a lot of work... I'm loving tomorrow is the day for the Party 4 a Purpose!! I can't wait to see the turnout and have a great time with sweet friends volunteering their time!!
  • So what if I should save my leave... I'm loving the "staycation" I have planned for this weekend!
  • So what if there's more productive things I could be doing... I'm loving this will be my view ALL weekend!! I love you Sullivan!!
  • So what if they are simple romance novels... I'm loving my latest reads!

This was recommended to me by my sweet friend Christina- go check her blog out for tons of deals and couponing tips! WOW Hot and steamy!! My goodness! Very fun read!
Next was a follow up to on of my 12 in 12... Gabriel's Rapture
I'm currently in the last several chapters of this book! I am loving this one more than it's first. Not only is it a romantic book, it's beautifully written and really has some beautiful phrases I had to note:
"Grace isn't something we deserve... It comes from love. And God wraps the world in second chances and sticky little leaves and mercy, even though some people don't want them."
"Sometimes we search for grace until it catches us."
Seriously, check this and its predecessor out!!
  • So what I said it before... I'm loving my amazing family!
  • So what if it's a rainy day out... I'm loving that it's national running day and I excited about it!!
  • So what if it's tomorrow... I'm loving the memory of this sweet man. Tomorrow marks 2 years since he went to be with the Lord. I remember that day like it was yesterday and miss him as much if not more! I'll be doing a special post on him tomorrow!!
  • So what if this post was random and all over the place... I'm loving you anyways for reading!
XOXO

Weekend Re-Cap

I had another one of those FABULOUS weekends that I could put on repeat and do it all over again!!

Friday: I finished up with work and had an evening with my awesome roomie and BFF, Elizabeth! Gym time, some much needed shopping and dinner. I just love her! She's the greatest!!

Saturday: Started bright and early celebrating this beautiful girl's graduation from Stratford High School! I am so proud of her! Words can't even describe!!

Way to Go Sweet Girl!! :-D
After graduation there was a small beach trip, followed by much needed Pedi's with my Steele Sisters and Dinner at Mellow Mushroom with friends where we did get to catch the Gamecocks pull out a victory over the Tigers in baseball!! Working on a 3-Peat again!! :-D

Sunday: Started even earlier!! I finished the cake decorating for our sweet Wyatt's dedication to the Lord!
Again I say- the hardest part is the transporting!! But I love the honor of doing this for my family!! Even if it's not the most professional- they say it's pretty good! :-P
After a yummy meal by the great host and hostest- seriously, my cousin always puts on such a great spread; she is such a gracious hostest and welcomes everyone- we headed to the church for dedication!
This little boy is so loved by all around him- just like his big sis!
They have stolen lots of hearts and are such blessings to our family!!

I love this family! They are so wonderful and have taught me so much!
 Snuggles with a sweetie!!
You can't see in the pic how big my heart is for these two, but it would burst through the screen! I love them so very much!! I thank Annie for letting me love and spoil them all I can! Tee Hee
Cutest lil man around- if I do say so myself!!!
Want to talk about some amazing women- these two right here! They are such wonderful examples of God's love and are shining lights! I am so thankful for them as well! I can't wait to see what God has in store for each of our futures!!

That was my amazing weekend in a rap up! See why I'd wanna to it again?
I ♥ love ♥ my family!! They are so wonderful! I know God knows what He's doing- but He outdid himself with mine!!

Hello, Again!!

Hey there lovelies! Miss me? HA! JK!! I did miss writing and venting and getting feelings out, hence the reason I'm back. I've ha...
